Anna Turner (yr 2), Self-Advocate

Anna Turner is a university student attending Utah State. She is majoring in Special Education and Psychology with a minor in Disability studies. There are several disorders that change the way Anna lives her life including Functional Neurological Disorder, Celiac Disease, and Ehlers Danlos syndrome. She was diagnosed at 19 years old and has been adapting to a new way of life ever since.

Anna Has a passion for disability advocacy and education which she pursues by speaking at events and lecturing in specific classes for USU. Additionally, she has a service dog named Vixen who helps her get through the day and is her partner in crime. Anna is looking forward to participating in the URLEND program so that she can make connections and learn about disability through others' viewpoints and is hoping that she can provide a unique perspective on living with a disability acquired later in life.
