Emily Austin was born and raised in Portland, Or. where she learned to love the rain and the outdoors. She moved to Salt Lake City to attend the University of Utah. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2018. After a brief gap year spent coaching gymnastics and dental assisting in a pediatric office, she began at the University of Utah School of Dentistry. Her passion for helping kids through the difficult experiences in the dental office motivated her to specialize in pediatric dentistry.
Emily is currently a first-year dental resident at Primary Children's Hospital where she is honing her skills. She hopes to continue to provide quality dental care to underserved children throughout her career. When she is not practicing dentistry, Emily enjoys spending time outdoors and going on adventures with her husband and her border collie, Zilla.
