Mardi Hyer, Self-Advocate

Mardi is starting her senior year at USU with a double Bachelor’s in Spanish and Asian Studies with minors in Entrepreneurship and Linguistics. She grew up in Logan Utah, was able to serve an LDS mission in Lima, Peru and is returning from a study abroad in Seoul, South Korea this past year. She loves to travel, explore new cultures, learn languages, and help people with diverse backgrounds understand each other.
Mardi is fluent in English and Spanish, has spent two years learning Japanese and Korean. If lost Mardi can be found, when not at school or working, scuba diving, traveling, watching tv or movies, reading, cooking or baking and spending time with friends and family. She hopes to complete a masters in global communication and wishes to spend a career facilitating communication between people of diverse backgrounds and believes that URLEND will help her achieve that goal.
