Dakin Stovall, Parent / Advocate

Faculty: Gina Pola-Money

Dakin Stovall is a developmental psychology PhD student at Brigham Young University. She hopes to complete her program this spring (April 2024). Dakin is an autism advocate (member of BYU's Autism Connect and ARUCC) and stakeholder parent. She is the mother of five children, ages 8-19, the youngest of whom is autistic. Dakin is committed to supporting families, like her own, with developmental differences by contributing to evidence-based skills and learning in her research. She grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and has lived in New York, Boston, and England before moving to Utah. Dakin treasures being a mom and loves to build relationships and connect with others. In her quiet moments, you will find her reading aloud to her children. She is excited to participate in URLEND so that she can use her experiences to further bless lives of those in her reach
