Christie is currently a 4th year clinical psychology graduate student at Washington State University. Her clinical interest surround integrated care and using behavioral health as a gateway to mental health care for individuals who may feel stigmatized against the field. Her research interest focus on cross-cultural development, which a specific emphasis on the role parent-child interactions play in influencing outcomes. Currently, Christie is completing a project examining relationships between infant fecal microbiome, parent-reported temperament, and observed parent-infant interactions. Following graduation, Christie aims to either pursue a career in primary care psychology in an integrated care setting or remain in academia studying the effectiveness of different parent-child dyadic treatments across cultures. Through URLEND, Christie hopes to deepen her experience working in interdisciplinary teams that serve family members and children as they navigate their health circumstances.
