Kate is a third-year PhD student in the Clinical Psychology PhD program at the University of Wyoming. She was born in Illinois and attended college in her hometown of Champaign-Urbana at the University of Illinois, where she majored in psychology with a developmental concentration. After completing her degree, Kate coordinated multiple clinical psychology research studies at the University of Illinois and later at the University of Pittsburgh, focusing on mindfulness, emotion regulation, and autism. Kate is passionate about meeting the mental health needs of individuals on the spectrum, as well as improving the implementation of evidence-based practices in the community.
In her free time, Kate likes to explore the outdoors, try new restaurants, and try her hand at various crafty activities. Typically, when Kate is home, you can find her cat, Lily, snuggled up beside her.
