Ana Hernandez-Liquin (She, Her, Ella) is currently a grant Program Manager at the University of Utah, College of Nursing. Most of her career has been spent overseeing grants that reduce sexual violence, and interpersonal violence and increasing advocacy within disabled and diverse communities. Outside of work, Ana participates as a board member for the following committees: Utah’s Multicultural Disability Network (MULDINET), Utah Statewide Independent Living Council, and the Institute for Disability Research Policy and Practice Community Advisory Council.
Ana has a passion and enthusiasm for working with under-resourced communities. This passion stems from personal experience as a daughter of two immigrants from Central America and a desire for progressive change in her community. She loves spending time with her husband and her two cats Nebula and Hudu. Ana loves baking, traveling, hiking, listening to/watching true crime, and volunteering in social justice causes.
