Melissa Eastlick, Social Work

Faculty: Molly Kimmel

Professionally, Melissa has been in the Early Childhood Professional field for more than 20 years! She loved being in the classroom and teaching young children but fell madly in love with her work when she began working directly with parents who had children with delays and developmental disabilities. This led her to complete her Master’s in Social Work so she could expand her therapeutic knowledge and experience to further help all types of families and people. In addition to supporting families, Melissa also provides pediatric sleep coaching and cognitive behavioral therapy-insomnia (CBT-I) to support everyone in developing great sleep habits.

A few fun things to know about Melissa: She has over 200 frog figurines sprawled around her home. Her favorite color is the rainbow (and is befuddled by how a person chooses just one favorite). And she plays on the funnest softball team in the world (funnest is a deliberate choice btw). Melissa lives in Missoula, Montana, where she and her husband and are raising their two amazing children.

Supporting individuals and families is one of Melissa's favorite things to do. Additionally, Melissa has had a long seeded dream to help change the systems in her state so that all families, especially families with children who have medical complexities can access the care they need with ease. This is why Melissa is excited to partner with the URLEND community!
