Ozlem Oner, Special Education

Faculty: Erik Luvaas

Born and raised in beautiful Turkey, Ozlem Oner has lived in Toronto (Canada) and the US (Georgia and Wyoming) for the last 23 years. Ozlem earned BA and MA degrees in Psychology. She has worked with children and young adults with autism or other developmental delays since 2014, when she first started volunteering at an autism center in Toronto for many years. She has been a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst since 2017. Ozlem is excited about starting the Ph.D. program specializing in autism spectrum disorder and related disorders at the University of Idaho and the URLEND’s trainee program this fall. Through these invaluable experiences, she wants to deepen her knowledge, continue working as a clinician, and help more families with special needs. Ozlem enjoys traveling, reading, and outdoor activities. She has four cats and hardly holds herself from sharing her home with many more four-legged friends.
